Project Specifications & Guidance
Level Support
A barrel sauna weighs approx. 600-800 lbs empty. We recommend a level concrete slab, compacted gravel base (4-6" deep), or reinforced wooden deck. Do not place directly on grass.
220V-240V Dedicated
Requires a dedicated 220V-240V, 30-40 Amp double-pole GFCI breaker. Must be hardwired by a certified electrician using outdoor-rated conduit.
Clearances
Sauna dimensions are 70.9 x 62.6 x 70.9 inches. Allow at least 2 feet of clearance around all sides for barrel bands adjustment and airflow. Make sure there are no low-hanging trees above.
Sealing & Care
Apply a high-quality UV-inhibiting, water-repellent sealant to the outer wood surfaces immediately after assembly. Never apply stain or sealer to the inside walls or benches.
