The WOODBRIDGE OBS1812 is built using chemical-free Thermo Finnish pine lumber measuring 1-3/8 inches in thickness. The thermal modification process helps the wood resist moisture and warping better than untreated softwoods, making it a solid choice for outdoor exposure. The barrel shape is inherently efficient, naturally circulating heat back down toward the floor instead of allowing it to pool near the ceiling.

Driving the heat is a 4.5kW electric unit that runs on 240V power with a 30-amp requirement, meaning a licensed electrician will be required for hardwiring. It reaches operating temperatures between 175 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit in roughly 45 to 60 minutes. The package also includes a set of sauna stones, wooden benches, base cradles, and a black asphalt shingle roof kit to protect the top of the barrel from rain and snow.

Assembly is straightforward thanks to pre-assembled end sections and tongue-and-groove lumber profiles, held together by heavy-duty 304-grade stainless steel bands. While the half-view window offers a nice look outside without sacrificing total privacy, the tight 4-foot length means taller users will not be able to stretch out fully on the benches.
